Smart Grids Europe 2010


There is a fundamental need for the modernization of the European energy networks, beyond the 20-20-20 targets outlined by the European Commission there is significant investments requirement for the current infrastructure. Smart grids offer a solution, not only playing a bigger role in achieving environmental goals, but also securing supply and facilitating effective load management. New technologies have the potential to change business models, create new markets and transform the landscape.


In this dynamic environment, the second edition of Smart Grids Europe will be developed. Smart Grids Europe 2010 will provide a platform to define and discuss the role of the smart grid in Europe.
